Whenever a new Creed fragrance launches (or two at the same time, in this case!) my perfume-loving community goes absolutely bonkers:

“Stop everything - an amber duo from Creed? I need to know more”

“New Creeds: have you smelt them yet?”

“I won’t buy them until I’ve heard your opinion”

…are just a few DMs I received this week.

Given that this autumn’s major fragrance trend is amber*, and the house of Creed dances within that magical Venn diagram of luxury, mystique, quality, credibility, desirability and performance - well, this is perfume catnip, frankly.

Indeed, there are two brand new Creeds arriving in stores this week and - my goodness - they are genuinely fantastic. They both live within the ‘amber’ scent profile, but each one has a very different personality. Delphinus and Centaurus are both big, bold, beautiful and unique - I haven’t smelt anything like them - yet one is slightly warmer and resinous and the other is more woody and spicy. I received my secret early-release bottles a few weeks ago and, while I thought I preferred one over the other, I’m now torn as they’re both deeply scrumptious and decadent: just the vibe I’m after in a cosy autumn scent that doubles as a festive party powerfume.

As you’ll know with Creed, these are considered purchases and you'll want to spend time with them before making your decision. I have the perfect moment in which to do that, where you can fully immerse yourself in the ‘Ambers Universe’.

On the evening of Tuesday 24th September at Harvey Nichols Knightsbridge, I’ll be hosting a fabulous scented cocktail party to celebrate the duo’s launch, and together we’ll dive into a magical smellathon adventure where we’ll discover each one’s inspiration concept, creative construction and ingredient heritage.

Here’s what’s involved!

• A 3-hour event from 6pm to 9pm, where you'll be spoilt with cocktails and canapés in Harvey Nichols’ 5th Floor Bar

• A glorious conversation between myself and Creed expert Rachel Freeman, where we will explore Delphinus and Centaurus as you smell-along in perfume nirvana.

• Tickets are just £15 and redeemable on the night of the event.

• If you make an Amber Universe purchase on the night, you’ll receive a special Token of Appreciation.

*We will also be discussing in depth what-on-earth an ‘amber’ fragrance actually is. I’ve read and researched so many theories, and with Rachel’s guidance we will deliver the most clear explanation to really help to further your perfume knowledge and insight. Every time I do an in-person event with an expert such as Rachel I learn a billion new facts about the industry, so I think this chat will be as enlightening as it is enchanting.
