Hello! As promised, I always let my Substack subscribers know about events before anyone else… and this is a super special one:

DIPTYQUE BRIDAL WORKSHOP

If there was ever an event destined for me to host, this has to be up there.

It’s pretty clear from my content and decades of writing about perfume that I absolutely LOVE the brand Diptyque. And given that I was beauty director at Conde Nast Brides magazine, a job that I adored and stayed in for about 10 years, anything wedding related is quite literally in my DNA. I even chose Diptyque candles to scent my own wedding in 2004 (Ambre and Violette, since you’re asking!).

I truly believe that if you’ve ever worked in the bridal industry, you have an almost evangelical appreciation of the happiness, enchantment and importance of committing to someone and becoming each other’s family… and those insights are with you forever. I still well-up when anyone tells me their engagement story. The act of choosing and wearing a special perfume for your wedding day is just absolutely glorious and meaningful, and to enhance your venue with scented treats like candles and diffusers is such a rare privilege you don’t get to do in ‘normal’ life.

This is the workshop for anyone getting married who wants to be amongst like-minded, excited and perfume-mad people, so come along and immerse yourself in this self-indulgent scent-fest with me!
